To promote financial fitness among their employees, Assurant launched a multi-year financial education “Savings Matters” campaign in 2015. To encourage retirement adequacy and saving for the future, the company currently offers a per-pay-period match of up to six percent for employees’ pre-tax 401(k) contributions. Employees may participate in webinars provided by Vanguard, the company’s 401(k) Plan record keeper, on various financial topics and discover new tools and ways to get and stay on track for a more financially secure future. Assurant also provides an annual Guide to Retirement Planning as a tool to help employees think about issues to consider when planning for retirement.

BBVA Compass

BBVA Compass has partnered with EverFi @ Work to provide its employees with an online platform that helps empower adults with the skills necessary to successfully manage their finances and plan for a prosperous future. The 90-minute, computer-based program includes eight learning modules that cover topics from savings and investments to identity protection.


Capital One

For Capital One associates, the Financial Literacy Resource Center intranet site provides helpful materials and resources to learn how to better manage finances and to lead financial education activities in their community. As part of Capital One’s retirement benefits, associates are offered checklists, tools and videos to help them make smarter choices about their money. In addition, Capital One’s Employee Assistance Program provides a spectrum of resources, including financial counseling, to all Capital One associates and their household members. This assistance is available online or by phone 24 hours a day, every day.
