Each year, Jump$tart Coalition® partners gather on Capitol Hill for Hill Day, which was created to highlight the importance of financial education.

For nearly 20 years, April has marked Financial Literacy Month (FLM), which is a time used to raise awareness about the importance of financial literacy.

The celebration evolved from Youth Financial Literacy Day, which expanded to a month by the Jump$tart Coalition. FLM extends beyond the coalition’s network, reaching hundreds of thousands of organizations, parents, teachers and children.

On March 29, Jump$tart will kick off #FLM18 with a Twitter Chat with WiseBread at 3 p.m. ET. Follow at using #WBChat and #afinlitfuture.

The coalition is hosting its Annual Awards Dinner, which honors those working to create a financially literate future on April 10 at the JW Marriott in Washington, DC.

On April 12, the 2018 Hill Day takes place from noon to 3 p.m. in the Hart Senate Office Building, Room 902. This event features remarks from dignitaries, exhibits dedicated to financial literacy, and a free buffet lunch. For more information:
